Be Kind Always | Solopreneur Struggles

Be Kind. Always.

Y’all, my biggest takeaway in the last 2 years of personal growth AND struggle is this 👇👇👇👇.

Be Kind Always | San Diego Boudoir Studio

Be Kind. Always.

You literally never know how, if, why someone might be struggling. And often times you never will because they keep it all inside. You see, that time your friend or coworker seemed to be distant, snap at you, forget something you said, didn’t show interest, etc, etc…maybe it was NOT about YOU….maybe, just maybe it was about THEM.

Be Kind. Always.

Don’t judge someone for having road rage or being an asshole, or being quiet, or being a bitch. MAYBE they are just going through some shit. Maybe they are having a terrible day. Or a terrible week. Or a terrible year!

Be Kind. Always.

Don’t take it personal when the cashier at McDonalds is rude. Maybe she’s going through some shit. Don’t take it personal when someone ignores you. Maybe they have 432 things on their plate and you just didn’t make the cut.

Be Kind. Always.

As a small business owner and solopreneur, I am alone A LOT. I carry all the weight of running this business, including the 28 hats it requires. Sometimes I fall short. I’m sorry for that. I’m also a wife and a mom to 3 little boys, who obviously come first. Sometimes I miss deadlines. Sometimes I don’t have time to write an elaborate response to a question I’ve already answered, I’m sorry. Sometimes I just need to take a breather and step away from the computer. Sometimes I just fail. Sometimes….I’m human.

Be Kind. Always.

To those who’ve made some pretty shitty, impactful choices that have directly effected ME, my family, and my business….I will try my best not take it personal.  I will, instead, realize that maybe THEY were just having a bad day.

On the flip side – – – if you are having a shitty day, or feel that someone’s done you wrong, or you have the urge to lash out…think twice. Take a step back. Think about what harm your words or actions might do. One quick click of the mouse, flip of the tongue, or hand….might be extremely detrimental to ones self image, confidence, reputation, etc. Is it worth it.

Just think twice first.

TIME. YOUR time is not more important than MY time, her time, his time, their time. Ever heard the phrase, “time is money”? This is true. TIME IS GOLD. Be kind, don’t waste someone else’s time. They’ll never get it back.

xoxo,
Melisa
