Blow Your Own Damn Mind
Today I’d like to share with you a story directly form my client. Each one of my clients has their own story, their own take-away from their experience. They all do it for different reasons, but in the end, it’s for them. I love the phrase “blow your own damn mind” because it directly speaks to what I do, and what happens during, and after each session. So here is Andrea’s story…
“I want to share with you all, my favorite photo (first image below) from my session with Melisa. I have it on my OWN nightstand in the most beautiful 3D cube to remind myself, every single day, that I AM beautiful and worth so much. I think this image speaks of my soul… and she captured it, like a BOSS. I had no idea I could rock it like this.
A little background about me…I have 9 year old boy/girl twins and my daughter was diagnosed with regressive autism at age 2. With a husband (13 years 💗) who serves this great nation in the navy, I have been left to, in a sense, be a single mother for a very long time. I have been through many of changes -both inside and outside. Outside, I gained 95 lbs while pregnant with the twins due to medical issues with the twin pregnancy. I almost lost my life and am grateful to be here today. I lived many years feeling “not worthy”. The weight..it was quick to come off, almost too fast. I found myself under BMI because of the stress of not only little twins, but because my husband left us to serve our great nation, A LOT. He is our hero, though times were hard.
I had my boudoir shoot with Melisa at the end of May of this year. I did this for ME, and only me … though my husband is beside himself with all of the images captured by the amazing Melisa. I was nervous, I didn’t feel like a “model” or even worthy of this, but I did it anyway. For ME. I remember driving to the shoot and thinking, this is going to just be terrible, I cannot even “work it” LOL! I am not a model, I can’t pose like one, and I am not even near perfect. The truth is THIS…no one is perfect and you do NOT have to be a model to empower yourself, to feel the amazing and intense womanly power instilled within all of us. Melisa made this so easy… I cannot even describe how she made me feel. I was friends with her in an instant. She’s just that amazing of a woman! She guided me every step of the way and at times she praised me for coming up with my own vision for poses and shots. Melisa is the most heart warming, empowering woman I have ever met. Let’s face it- women empower each other. We build each other UP. She did just that and then some. And I felt it 100x more when I saw my photos revealed, right beside her. Ladies, don’t wait… it’s a game changer mentally. You will learn to love yourself so much more. Both internally and externally. Because, every single woman is beautiful. I can’t wait to book another session. Next time, outdoor I think 😉” -Andrea
