San Diego Boudoir Photographer | 4 ways Pinterest can Assist with your Boudoir Session
One of the most valuable tools that I use as a creative is Pinterest. It helps me gather my ideas into one place and organize them effeciently. As a San Diego boudoir photographer, I thought that this could be taken to a whole new level with my clients.
4 ways Pinterest can Assist with your Boudoir Session
- It helps client and photographer get on the same page for the vision of the session – As a creative, I’m very visual. A LOT goes into the planning of each and every one of my sessions. I try to make each one special and unique to that individual client. I do pre-session consultations, but Pinterest can take this to the next level. Pinterest gives me the visual I need that is sometimes difficult for my clients to explain.
- It helps you hone your ideas so you can get a clear vision of what you’d like out of your session – When my clients book a boudoir session, a lot of times they have a certain look they’d like to achieve. But more often than not, it is not realized or honed without some sort of visual aid. Enter Pinterest. Sometime even, my clients desires change after they see different ideas, or they realize that maybe they don’t really like that original look after all.
- It helps my HMUA (Hair and Make Up Artist) understand what type of look you desire – This can be an amazing visual aid for my HMUA. Often times, my HMUA will not meet my clients until the day of the session, so this gives her a sneak peak into my clients desires for specific makeup & hair looks.
- It helps me, as the photographer, deliver a session that is catered to your desires and needs for the session – Seriously, this is a no-brainer. Why wouldn’t I want to deliver an amazing session to my client?! With the help of Pinterst, I’m able to create a produce a session that is catered to each one of my client’s specific needs. It allows me to create a mood board for each client, therefore when the day of the session arives, I have Pinterest in my tool belt and I’m ready to jam!
You don’t need to be super Pinterest savvy either! Just create a board (you can even make it SECRET!), invite me to the board, and then I’ll invite my HMUA. And bam – there you have it – a one stop insperiation shop for the whole crew!
