I’ve been going through a bit of a re-branding process in my business, and as a San Diego Photographer, one thing that was super important to me in this process was packaging.
For me, the packaging process (prepping and wrapping up all of my client goodies for pickup), is one of the best joys of what I do. All of my hard work, my clients input, and the whole process finally comes together in a finished product. Whether that be a wall grouping, and heirloom box, or an album, delivering these pieces to my clients is the best! I love to watch them open their pretty package and see their faces light up when they see their ART for the first time. Many of my clients have never considered their family portraits to be ART, but it is! So for many, this will be the first time they see themselves in print this large.
I decided to finally pick a theme to go with my business which will now be reflected in everything I do, and of course my packaging.
The arrow symbolizes going in a direction. To me, it doesn’t matter which direction that may be, as long as you are moving. Sometimes its backwards, and that’s OK! Life likes to throw curve balls and I believe the arrow symbolizes both the ups and downs of life, which all need to be documented. Sometimes the actual documentation part (by me, of course) can come during a very trying time in one’s life, like with some of my boudoir clients. But when they see themselves, beautiful and graceful, it is an empowering experience that propels them forward. Hence; the arrow.
