You Deserve to Feel Sexy | Oceanside Boudoir Photographer
Miss J. was a maternity client of mine 10 years ago! She is in a completely different place in her life now and it was HER time to shine. HER time to feel sexy. I think she pulled it off. Am I right?!?!?
Client Interview:
Q: What motivates you to pursue a boudoir shoot right now?
A: I have finally reached a point of personal self-worth after rebuilding from a divorce 4 years ago and other life changes . My ex-husband was both psychologically and sexually abusive. For 16 years, I lived a life where I was made to feel guilty for being independent and successful. I was often punished for my success by being put down and demeaned in the bedroom. Despite continued efforts to keep me down, I’ve emerged from the divorce stronger than ever both emotionally and financially. Despite paying a ton of alimony and child support, I managed to also buy out a business partner, buy my own condo, be a single mom 50% of the time, and maintain professional and volunteer commitments. Ive done this by surrounding myself with people who hold me up rather than those who put me down, and those who remind me that there is nothing wrong with me just as I am. For me, this shoot is a personal way to document this growth.
Q: On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the most confident) how would you rate how you feel about your body? Elaborate.
A: 6 — Self conscious about height and smaller breast size, but confident about strength and muscular tone.
Q: What three words would you select to describe the look/ feel of the images you hope to create?
A: Strength, Bewitching, Sublime
Q: What, if anything, would make you feel more comfortable and confident heading into your shoot?
A: Guidance on lingerie selections — I’m lost here! (I totally got her covered here! She came in for a lingerie consultation before her session and was able to gain the confidence to shop on her own! And she did a fantastic job!)
