When You Can’t Stop. Laughing, that is.
Miss M. and I laughed so much during her session, that a lot of “outtakes” turned into downright real, natural smiles and resulted in some of my favorite images ever! I’m not sure what we were laughing about the whole time, but we couldn’t stop. And it was awesome. Stepping out of her comfort zone may have brought on the giggles, but I’m sure glad it did! Miss M. is one of the most beautiful spirits I’ve ever met, and just a downright HAPPY person! She also happens to be a super hero mom of FIVE!
But seriously though, on a much deeper level, between the laughs and all the fun, Miss M. began to see herself in a totally new way. Every back of camera peek came with a “no way!”. It was immensely gratifying to see her perspective change to what I was seeing with my own eyes. I don’t do anything remotely special, I feel, in boudoir sessions. I definitely let each clients personality guide how the session flows. And all the FEELS come on their own. I can feel myself growing as an artist, mom, and human with each and every session that I do. Every session is different. Every session is special. So hat’s off to Miss M. for stepping WAY out of her comfort zone, getting partially naked, and laughing with me…A LOT.
